Welcome to Safari Mall

Hi kids, my name is William and I am puppet captain of The Crumpit Puppet Troupe, you can click here to visit our main site. One of the CPT's main puppet shows is a children's series called "Safari Mall". We have been doing Safari Mall outside of YouTube for 3 years and it has just recently made it to YouTube this month. Safari Mall is an educational children's web series featuring puppets, it's basically a Canadian version of Sesame Street (the replacement for the series "Sesame Park" which sadly ended years ago). Safari Mall is recommended for ages 2-8. Safari Mall features many puppets who are original creations including Big Red, Junko the Grouch, Pie Monster, Lilly Monster and many more. The show takes place at an enormous shopping mall instead of a street. It teaches simple things for ages 2-5 like letters numbers and those kind of thing and for ages 6-8 it teaches harder things like punctuation and french (Canada's 2nd language). The show will also feature some short appearances by some of the regular american muppets like Elmo, Grover, Ernie, Bert, The Count, Hoots and many more just keep in mind that the regular sesame street stuff is only featured in a small part of the show and most of the show is done with some more original stuff. I think that it's a good show to get small children ready for school and for children that have just begun school.
Elmo
Of course most co productions of Sesame Street have their own versions of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch and some additional muppets so Safari Mall has a large cardinal named Big Red and a french speaking grouch named Junko. Other muppets include Cookie Monster's furry pink cousin Pie Monster (who loves pie instead of cookies), Lilly Monster who is a curious little blue monster (like Elmo), Jacob (a lizard) and Christopher (a raccoon) who form a comedy duo together and Warren who is a large purple and hip Coyote (introduced as a wolf in the first few episodes).

Pie Monster

Because the show is Canadian there are some special things taught in the show like French words and the value of a Canadian money. Our Big Bird is a red cardinal (a bird commonly seen in
Canada) and our Grouch has a french accent, one character named Warren is a large purple coyote but in the first few episodes he was introduced as a wolf but was recently changed into a coyote since coyotes are commonly seen in Ontario (where Safari Mall is filmed).
Each american muppet has an additional french name on the show, although not all of their names are exactly the same, some have their original names from "Bonjour Sesame", "1 Rue Sesame" and "5 Rue Sesame" and some have translated names that describe themselves.
Big Bird- Plumeux Jaune (yellow feathery)
